Language: This is used to describe the subject. Language is used a lot on magazine covers, examples of these terms are headline and masthead.
Institution: This is the organisations which produce the media. In my case Wyke College is the Institution because its for Wyke College.
Ideology: This is a set of ideas presenting peoples values and stereotypes.
Audience: Who the magazine is aimed at. For my college magazine it will be for 16-18 year olds who attend Wyke College.
Representation: This is how the media portrays people to get a response from the public.
